    Is it possible to check the coolant overflow reservoir in Q8 Etron without bringing the car in for service?

    I think what you are talking about under the car is commonly called the "coolant catch can" and you can go under and find that. The coolant "resevoir" is indeed what the poster above showed under the hood.
