Is it worth it? Just coughed up$230 for an update on my e-tron 55's satnav and infotainment! Honestly, the old one was hopeless - directions were all over the place and the charging station info was ancient. Hoping this is a big improvement, but wondering if anyone else has experience with these updates? Is the yearly subscription enough, or is a full update like this more necessary? Feels like a big chunk of change every year!

I'm not a big fan of relying on the car's built-in navigation for charging. I've found that the charging location database is often outdated. I usually use Plugshare on my Android Auto, and I also check the apps from specific charging companies like EA, ChargePoint, and EVgo. For trip planning, I like to use ABRP.

If you're in the UK, I've heard that Zapmap is a good option for finding charging stations. It's kind of like Plugshare. I'd also recommend checking out the apps from the charging companies you use in the UK.

Idk but I find it useful, but they do have some limitations though. While these apps provide useful information for navigation and other features, they frequently do not work smoothly with the MMI and driver displays. Also, they lack access to the vehicle's directional gyros, which can impair their accuracy in tight spaces.
