I'm comparing the regenerative braking systems of the Quattro 55 and the Q4 e-tron. The Q4 appears to use a different method to activate strong regen. The Q4's paddle shifters can be used to control how much regen is applied when you let go of the accelerator. However, when you put the car in 'B' mode, it behaves similarly to a one-pedal driving mode with extremely strong regen. Is it correct?

You're spot on! The Q4 e-tron does use paddle shifters to adjust the level of regenerative braking, giving you more control, and yes, when you switch to 'B' mode, it activates a strong regen that feels like one-pedal driving.

You are right about 'B' mode being like a one-pedal driving experience with strong regen, but as far as I know, the paddle shifters don't adjust regen when you are in that mode. The paddles only seem to work in 'D' mode to control how much regen is applied when you lift off the accelerator.

I think Audi came up with this 'B' mode to maximize regen for drivers who prefer the one-pedal style without needing to adjust anything. Let me know if you have noticed something different.
