Is this normal, my front rings are not black?

I noticed a strange detail on my wife’s Q4, it has the black optic package, but strangely the front rings are a gunmetal color and not black like the rears. I guess that this is the same for all cars because of sensors and stuff. I am wondering if there is a way to get the front rings in black?

I came across a vid where someone peeled off their Audi rings and swapped in some slick black ones. You should totally give it a shot! Just look for Black Audi Rings and make the swap. Or, if you're in DIY mood, you could plasti dip your wife's gunmetal rings for a fresh blacked-out look!

Believe it or not, there are totally no sensors hiding behind those rings!
