I’ve been a proud owner of the “fat” e-tron for a while now, and while I love the car, I’ve already had to replace both motors due to seal failures and coolant infiltration. It’s been frustrating to deal with, but from what I’ve gathered, it’s a somewhat common issue with the water-cooled motors on the e-tron.

anyone here with a Q4 or ID4 has faced similar issues? Have there been any reports of motor failures, particularly involving the seals or coolant problems? I know the cooling system plays a huge role in these EVs, so I’m wondering if the Q4 and ID4 still use water-cooled motors like the e-tron or if they’ve moved to air cooling. Would love to hear from anyone with experience on this or any insights into how the Q4's motors hold up over time.

Sorry to hear about the motor troubles with your e-tron. I haven’t heard much about motor issues with the Q4 or ID4, but it’s definitely interesting to see how their cooling systems compare to the e-tron.
