I'm stumped. I've noticed that my 2022 e-tron GT has pretty weak regenerative braking, even in manual and automatic mode. I remember renting an e-tron SUV last year and it had much stronger regen when using the paddles.

Is this just how the e-tron GT is tuned, or could there be something off with my car? When I use the brake pedal, I see that a lot of regen is kicking in, but just letting off the accelerator does almost nothing. Any insights?

That's just how the GT rolls, man. It's designed to be more efficient by coasting whenever possible. The regen braking system kicks in to slow you down, and you only need to use the physical brakes for the last bit before stopping or in emergencies.

I personally love this feature, but I know some people who are used to other EVs find it a bit strange. It's definitely a matter of preference.
