So I’m usually all about that auto mode when I'm driving everyday. But yesterday was a bit of a gas emergency, so I had to give the Efficiency mode a shot since the nearest fuel station was way out there. When I made the switch, I was faced with the choice between E and D modes. Now, I'm a bit clueless about what sets these two apart. Any savvy drivers out there who can shed some light on this for me?

Efficiency mode is similar to econo mode in traditional automatic trannys and it affects the throttle response. Basically its aim is to maximize battery range. In that case, the throttle response is a bit sluggish. The a/c also turns into econo mode when you're in this mode.

E mode definitely affects how the car responds. It changes the throttle mapping, which can make it feel sluggish and unresponsive. I hate that feeling. That's why I don't use it on mine.

Using the E mode feels like a laggy server, there is a delay and its not suitable and i wouldnt recommend it because it might affect our safety while driving the vehicle. If you dont have any choice but to use this mode then you should practice safety and caution while using it.
