Hey, guys!
I wondered...
Why Q4 e-tron have a digital speedometer of up to 160 mph if the top speed is 99 mph? Wouldn't a 120-mph one be enough? Is it different in other markets?

IMO even with the smaller screen, it likely runs the same software, which means no tweaks for max speed on the speedometer. Programmers tend to keep it simple and skip things that makes it complicated.

Great question! The higher digital speedometer range might just be a design choice to keep things consistent with other models. Or, maybe they’re just trying to future-proof the tech a bit. 😉

Totally! Also, there could definitely be some differences based on the market, you know? Like, regulations and performance specs might totally give them the green light to hit those higher speeds! Maybe….

Ultimately, having a higher speedometer reading doesn’t really change how the car performs, it just makes everything look cool and consistent. Sure, a 120-mph speedometer would be more than enough for the Q4 e-tron, but that extra number on the dial definitely amps up the performance image.
