Are winter tires for a C7 GT worth the investment?

Been thinking about getting a set of winter tires for my C7 GT. It came with the summer "performance" tires, and while I've driven a C7 Corvette with those in winter conditions, I'm not entirely sure how they'll handle the cold weather. I'm considering either the Audi-promoted Pirelli set on alloy wheels or a Tirerack option with Hakkapeliitta tires. The Tirerack set is a bit smaller than the stock size, but I'm not sure if that's a big deal. Does anyone have experience with winter tires on a C7 GT? Are they worth the investment, or can I get away with the summer tires most of the time?

I went with the Audi-promoted Pirelli set directly from the dealer, and man, they really impressed me when a surprise snowstorm hit. The grip is seriously next level, making my drive way safer overall.

Yeah, they might be pricey, but go for them. After all, you never know what the weather will bring. This way, you can leave the summer ones to 'rest' for a while.

Same here! My new GT showed up with summer tires too. I’m seriously thinking about just grabbing some high-performance all-season tires to make life easier. I mean, who wants to deal with swapping tires every season, yeah? Makes total sense to me!
