Chargepoint Home Flex & Audi Q4 Charging Issue

I have a Chargepoint Home Flex Level 2 charger alongside my Audi Q4, which I have had for around a month. I get a red light on the Audi charge port during the first handshake every time I plug in the car. The green light shows and charging begins immediately if I unplug then plug it back in.

Since the Home Flex was set to a timer, initially I assumed it might be a scheduling problem; thus I changed to use the Audi's timer. Same issue. Now, with all timers off, I still get the dreaded red light on the first try; only after replugging does it work.

Chargepoint accuses Audi; Audi accuses Chargepoint. I'm confused. Has anyone else suffered with this? If so, what led to it, and more significantly, did you come up with a fix?

I don;t use an Audi Q4 and I haven;t experienced this, but I have seen similar problems. You can check for firmware updates for your car and charger. I hope you sort it soon!

It’s good to know I’m not the only one seeing this kind of issue, even though you’re not using the same setup. I’ll definitely check for firmware updates for both the car and the charger, it’s possible that might fix whatever’s causing the connection glitch.

It’s frustrating when both Audi and Chargepoint are pointing fingers at each other without a clear solution. I haven’t resolved it yet, but I’m hoping an update will do the trick. If I find a fix, I’ll make sure to share it here! Appreciate the advice, I’m crossing my fingers it works out soon!
