I recently picked up a “slightly used” 2023 e-tron Sportback, and I’ve been curious about how many of this specific model and year are out there in the US. Audi’s 2023 sales report combines figures for the “original” e-tron and the Q8, so it’s hard to tell how many belong to each.
Does anyone know when Q8 deliveries began in the US? Also, if you have any idea when the last of the 2023 e-trons were built or delivered, I’d love to know. Just for fun and curiosity!
For context, Audi reported 2023 US sales of 8,180 e-tron SUVs (e-tron and Q8 combined) and 2,907 Sportbacks (also combined). An article on Inside EVs mentioned that only 1,510 e-trons were delivered in the first half of 2023. Just a handful in July-September and no more after that. It says US deliveries of the original e-tron might’ve stopped mid-year. The numbers seem all over the place, and I can’t figure out how they reconcile.
