Not the start I wanted! Hoping someone can help! Started my eTron this morning, but then I got slammed with warning messages: "Electrical system: malfunction! Safely stop vehicle" followed by "All-wheel drive: malfunction! Limited stability. Please contact Service!"

Needless to say, I pulled over right away, but now I'm stuck wondering what caused this... Anyone else experienced this electrical system and AWD combo?

I had those exact same warning messages and couldn't shift into R or D either. My car's been at the dealership for 5 days already.

I am also dealing with the dreaded "Electrical System Malfunction" error message on my 2024 Q8 Etron with 8700 miles on it. I came back to the airport parking garage after leaving it for 6 days and got the message as soon as I started it and put it in reverse. The car was towed to a local dealer a week ago, and they have not even looked at it yet.

Is there any root cause for this? @Complexity22 hasn't come with an update since then.

In my case the cause was a coolant leak caused by a faulty seal that caused the coolant system to overflow into the motor and that caused it. It seems like this is a systemic manufacturing problem that Audi knows about, but continues to this day. There is another thread on here talking about coolant system issues with Audi. They are replacing my motor, but there is no guaranteee that it won't happen again, and next time it may not be in a parking garage, but on the highway. Not happy!
