Does anyone have a way to keep their traffic sign recognition alarm deactivated? Mine most times starts alarming at speeds above the posted limit even after I deactivate it via MMI, it still becomes active again the next time I start the car. Kindly help if you can.

You can check if there is permanent deactivation option in the MMI settings to keep the traffic sign recognition alarm off. Or you can check if your car's software is updated. If none works, visit the dealership for assistance.

MMI Menu - Driver assistance (you have to look for a section related to driver assistance or safety features) - Then you must see something to adjust the traffic sign recognition. If nothing works, not even a new update (as @PereZ said), then visit the dealership.

It would be better to just take it to your dealer right away. But afaik, this is now a standard feature which can't be deactivated.

Thanks, I have been checking the MMI settings for a permanent deactivation option but can't seem to find one.

Thanks gee. I’ll look into the MMI menu and check the driver assistance settings to see if I can adjust the traffic sign recognition. If that doesn’t work, I’ll definitely consider a dealership visit.

I appreciate your input, but I’ve read that some models allow for deactivation in the settings. I’d like explore that option first before heading to the dealer...
