I’ve been having some trouble with the onboard system (semi user error here) and currently have an open Tier 2 ticket with Audi, but I’m hoping someone here might have a solution while I wait.

Here’s the situation:

I set a PIN on the Key User profile in the Audi app for the car.
I usually drive using another profile, with the Key User one acting as the “admin.”
I didn’t log into the Key User profile for over 30 days, so now the system gives me this message: “The selected user has not been used in this vehicle for an extended period, please enter your myAudi user information again.” (I’ve attached a pic for reference).
Now, I’m unable to sign in at all. The system either says it’s not available, or if I try enough times, I can eventually get to the myAudi sign-in screen, but the option to log in is grayed out.

My question is: If I factory reset the car and then sign back in with myAudi, will the Key User Agreement automatically reapply?

Appreciate any help you guys can provide

Yeah, as long as you have access to all necessary login credentials for the myAudi app, and the patience to set up the profiles again (admin and secondary), then go ahead. your care won't broke, don't worry, hahahaha!

I've totally been there with those login headaches! You know, that super annoying loop where you just keep getting kicked back to the login page? Ugh! There was this one magical hour when I actually got in, but the rest of the time? Just stuck in that endless cycle. So it sounds like it’s not just you, definitely not an issue on your end!

If you give the car a factory reset, it should wipe all the current settings and let you sign back in. However, the Key User Agreement might not automatically kick back in, so you might have to set that up again afterward. To be safe, it’s a good idea to check out Audi’s guidelines or consult with their support team before proceeding.

thanks for the reassurance! I was a bit hesitant about the factory reset, but if everything should reapply with my login credentials, I think I’ll give it a go. It’s a little frustrating having to set everything up again, but at this point, it’s probably the quickest way to fix the issue.

Good to know it won’t mess anything up too badly! I’ll just make sure I’ve got all my login info ready before diving into the reset. oh well

Yeah, I feel you! But I guess you want to fix it, haha! I wish you good luck!
