I have just noticed something on my 2010 eTron SUVs.

The VC phone signal strength matches the MMI/Apple CarPlay, but they don't match in RS Project_513/2. For example, the signal stays at 1 bar the whole time. I don't know why.

The CarPlay 5G signal (left side) is the same as on my phone. But the VC screen is different (upper right) - 1 bar. It should show the same as in my eTronSUVs matching the left side of CarPlay and phone screen.

Today, the problems continue.
- my WiFi doesn't show at all,
- I can see only the Bluetooth as a way to connect.

I stopped the car and shut it down, then restarted it, without any results. The Wireless CarPlay didn't show.
After a few hours, everything came back to normal.

Do you think a factory reset would be a solution to bring back Bluetooth user recognition without needing the login?

I guess this is why sometimes Bluetooth UR works without logging in and sometimes it doesn't.

Looking for any thoughts on this...

It sounds like some frustrating connectivity issues with your eTron, especially with the signal strength and the WiFi not appearing.

This might be a software glitch affecting the VC and CarPlay systems. A factory reset could resolve some of the problems, but it will definitely reset any personalized settings you have, same for the Bluetooth user recognition.

Before going for a factory reset, you can check if there are any software updates available for your vehicle. Hope this helps!

Yeah it does sounds like a software glitch. Checking for updates is a great first step. Additionally, I think it might help to clear the Bluetooth cache on your phone and the car, as that can sometimes resolve connectivity issues without a full reset.

I almost forgot about this thread, haha! I didn't think about my issue that much anymore. I had other more important things to deal with. Anyway, @PereZ and @Tito, thanks for suggestions. I will check if there is any update. I didn't think about clearing the Bluetooth cache (didn't know that was even possible).

Also, @Zoomie Zoreny, I haven't scanned it yet, but that's a good idea. Might give me some more insight into what's going on.

Any updates with this? Have you scanned it?
Hey, thanks for the follow-up! Yes, I scanned the system (even though I said I wouldn't do it). A friend told me to do so after I told him the replies I got here. So, I had a couple of minor connectivity errors with the Bluetooth and WiFi modules. Now it is clear why I was having the issues we talked about.

I cleared them, and I also reset the infotainment system (only a soft reset. I didn't want to do a full factory reset). And now, everything is running well. I hope it will be like this for a very very long time.

Anyway, why did you ask? Did you encounter a similar issue?
