I’ve got a 2022 Q5 TFSI E hybrid, and I’m running into an odd issue with the charge timer. For some reason, it keeps enabling itself without me setting it, overriding my manual “charge now” option or whatever timer I’ve already put in place. This all started after I took the car to the dealer around Christmas, though I’m not entirely sure if the visit is the cause. I’ve noticed that after I shut off the engine, the “Notes” screen will sometimes show the charge timer is active, even though I hadn’t set it.

The most recent case happened just a few days ago. I’d set the charger manually, since the app hasn’t been very reliable for me lately, but when I got home and checked, the timer had somehow set itself to charge next Monday. I can’t figure out why this keeps happening, and I'd really prefer not to go back to the dealership unless it's absolutely necessary. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

If you haven’t done this yet, it’s time to reset your charging timer settings. You can do it right on your car’s screen or through the Audi app. After that, just put your original settings back and see if the issue sticks around. Sometimes all it takes is a little fresh start to kick those glitches to the curb!

Hey @tandd6! So I’ve got a hybrid myself, and I’m guessing you haven’t really dived into one yet. But just a heads up - there’s no reset option in the car or the app. I think only the e-tron has those fancy advanced charger settings. Just thought I’d share!

Ah, good to know! I had no idea the hybrid models were a bit different like that. Thanks for the heads up!

Are you using a third-party app like Octopus? If yes, then those apps can really mess things up with the myAudi app. So keep an eye on that!

I’ve heard of this happening when there's a software glitch after a dealership visit. You ca try doing a system reset in the MMI under “Car” settings, or check if there’s an update available for the charging software.

Appreciate the tip! I haven’t tried resetting the charging timer settings yet, so I’ll give that a go both on the car’s screen and through the Audi app. Hopefully, a fresh reset will clear out whatever’s causing the timer to activate on its own, it’s been pretty frustrating when it keeps overriding my manual settings.

I’ll reset everything and then put my original settings back in to see if that keeps the issue from coming back. Sometimes a clean start is all it needs to fix these glitches, so I’m crossing my fingers this works. 🤞
