Q6 e-tron range

Is it possible that the Q6 will have a greater range than the Q8 in the future? In one of the reviews I read, the Q8 went 290 miles. Given that the Q6 is smaller, lighter, and has a newer battery, motors, EV-specific platform, and more efficient program, it should have a greater range than the Q8.

While I like many aspects of the Q6, the charging flap issues remind me why I avoid purchasing first-year models from new generations. Why didn't they just use a spring-loaded flap like on the A4 ICE? It seems like a solution looking for a problem.
