I just heard a strange noise on the rear end, and I'm pretty sure it's the brakes. It only happens when I press the gas pedal, makes you wonder why they'd be squeaking at just 20k miles.

I had a similar noise problem with my 3 yr old e-tron. Replacing and cleaning the brake pads appeared to resolve the issue, but it's worth noting that e-trons rely heavily on regen braking, so noise may not be a reliable indicator of wear.

You need to regularly change your brake pads and don't forget to clean them. It may be a bit of a hassle but it will run better and will be more efficient if it is properly maintained.

Routine maintenance check especially on the brake pads will fix those squeaking sounds every time

you hit the brake pedal. Sometimes the quality of the brake pads will make a difference. It just shows the importance of keeping your vehicle in good condition.

The brake pads were the cause of the issue? And at 20k only? Is that even normal for brake pads to get worn out after such a short mileage?

I think so lol. The squeaks were gone after I cleaned it. There must have been a tiny rock or some dirt stuck in there causing the squeak.
