Connecting my Apple Watch 9 to the MMI

I’m having an issue connecting my Apple Watch 9 to the MMI in my ‘24 Q8 e-tron. During setup, the pairing code appears on both the watch and MMI, but after a short wait, it says “Cannot establish connection.” I’ve tried toggling Bluetooth, and I’ve also tested with my phone both on and off, but nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?
 
Not surprised Audi’s MMI is struggling with this their Bluetooth system isn’t the most flexible. If you’ve already tried resetting everything, you might be stuck waiting for an MMI software update. I’d check with the dealership to see if they’ve heard of this issue with the ‘24 Q8 e-tron. Might be worth submitting a support ticket to Audi or Apple to push for a fix.

Try restarting both the watch and the MMI system. If that doesn’t work, unpair any previous devices and reset the Bluetooth settings on both.

I’ve never seen anyone try this before, but you may start by unpairing the watch in the connection manager and then turning off Bluetooth on the watch itself. After that, give pairing it again a shot!
