I heard a loud beep and got a warning saying the remote key battery needs replacing. After swapping it with a new Duracell 2032, the key locks and unlocks fine, but the warning won't go away. I’ve restarted the car a few times with no luck. Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

You'd think a fresh battery would solve it, right? Learned the hard way. Sometimes the car's system might need a little time to recognize the new battery, or sometimes the connection inside the key fob itself can be a bit dodgy.

A few things you could try:
Double-check that the battery is seated correctly and making good contact. Some people have also had luck resetting the key fob by following a specific procedure in the owner's manual. It often involves turning the ignition on and off a few times while pressing buttons on the key. If all else fails, it might be worth a quick trip to the dealer.

You could give disconnecting the car battery a shot for a few minutes to force a reset. If that doesn't do the trick, the dealer might have to re-sync the key fob to the car. Worth a try!
