Man, my wife's 2020 e-tron was smooth sailing until last week. Now, the Audi app and GPS went belly-up. Took it to the service center, and they dropped the bomb - the SOS unit is toast and wants a fat check to fix it. And get this, even if they replace stuff, no guarantees it'll sort things out. Talk about a total buzzkill! Our fancy car isn't feeling so fancy anymore. Anybody know how to fix this mess?

If the service center isn’t confident about the fix, I’d ask them to explore software resets or updates first before replacing the hardware. It might also be worth contacting Audi directly to see if they’ve logged similar cases and have a better solution. No one wants to pay big money for something that might not even work.

I just found this I had a similar issue with my 2019 car. The SOS module near the center console was the problem. Coventry diagnosed the aerial but I was uncertain since my SOS light was off. I decided to pull the SOS fuse waited a few hours and then put it back in. It turns out the module has a backup battery that needs to drain. After that the SOS light flashed green and everything started working! Hope this helps
