The fam is loving our new Q8 e-tron but the range display isn't quite matching the hype. I can only seem to squeeze out about 253 miles on a full charge, which is way short of the advertised 285 miles. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a common thing or should I get it checked out?

Your driving range is influenced by several factors. These include weather conditions, your driving habits and typical routes, the cabin climate settings you use, and more. It's important to remember that the EPA estimated range is not a guaranteed number you'll achieve in every situation.

As a new EV owner, I've noticed many people believe charging to 100% should always result in the manufacturer's advertised range. And now driving one, there are so many factors like temperature, driving history, and even road conditions influence the actual range, making it a dynamic figure. Give it more time so the car learns your driving behavior.

New EV owners just aren't as excited about the tech as the early birds. It's kinda funny how everyone's obsessed with EV range, but nobody ever cared about MPG with gas cars. The real deal is, most people won't even have range issues anyway.

getting 253 miles in your Q8 e-tron while less than advertised isn't necessarily a red flag. Think about how you drive, the terrain and the temperature; they all play a big role like what others ssaid. Those official numbers are like best-case scenarios. But honestly, just relax and enjoy the car!

I totally agree with that. Charge it to experience!
