I've had my car for a couple of years now, and the charge port door would always close on its own about 10 seconds after unplugging the charger. Recently, though, it’s stopped doing that. I can still close it manually by pressing the button, but that’s a change from how it used to work. I haven’t adjusted any settings, and I don’t recall seeing an option for this anywhere. It’s a minor issue, but since the car is 4 years old, I'm a little concerned it could be a sign of something more serious down the line. Anyone else run into this? Appreciate any thoughts

A charge port door suddenly going manual after years of auto-closing? Sounds like maybe a sensor's acting up or a little motor's starting to get tired. Given it's a four-year-old car, it's probably just a wear and tear thing, but yeah, I'd keep an eye on it. Could be a simple fix, like a bit of cleaning or lubrication, or it might be a sign the actuator's starting to fail. Before you panic, try a full car reset, sometimes that clears those weird software glitches. A quick dealer checkup might be worth it, just to make sure it's not a symptom of something bigger.
