MMI and radio won’t turn off what’s causing this?

I have a 2021 Audi e-tron Sportback, and I just noticed something odd. After getting home and turning off the car, I came back about 30 minutes later, and the MMI and radio were still on, even though the ignition was off.

I tried restarting the car, thinking it was just a glitch, but the issue didn’t go away. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might have missed? Could this drain the battery if it stays on too long?

Yep, this is a known quirk with the e-tron MMI system.

Is the driver’s door fully closed before you exit? Sometimes the car doesn’t detect that you’ve left.
Try pressing and holding the volume knob for 30 seconds to force a shutdown.
Check if there’s a pending MMI software update, some owners had this issue fixed after a dealer update.

If none of that works, a hard reset (disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes) might help, but I’d try the simple fixes first.
